About the role


Due to our continued growth, we are excited to be recruiting for a Head of Strategic Planning to join our CCL team in Manchester.

CCL Solutions is a professional management consultancy, delivering successful property and construction solutions within healthcare settings nationwide.

With 300% growth in the last 5 years and 80% of our business coming from repeat commissions, our clients rely on us providing a wholly satisfying personal service to them.

Overview of the job


Working mainly within the Health & Social Care sector and reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead and develop further CCL Solution's Strategic Planning Business Unit.

This includes supervision, support, development and deployment of a team of colleagues to assist you in the development and authoring of HM Treasury compliant business cases, estates strategies and other strategic documents.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Development of the strategic planning team to achieve business plan objectives.
  • Client development, liaison and feedback to ensure company performance requirements are achieved.
  • Review resource requirements, manage internal and external resources within budget and report progress monthly to your line manager.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the client and prepare monthly progress reports identifying any key risks to delivery.
  • Overseeing production and submission of key content in accordance with the client requirements, relevant quality standards and program.
  • Identification of business opportunities and development of fee proposals and tender submissions.
  • Lead, support, and develop a high performing team to deliver complex business cases and other strategic documents to support investment objectives.

Qualifications, skills, and experience
To meet the requirements of this role, the successful person will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Excellent understanding of healthcare policy and strategic direction.
  • Significant experience of developing Business Case and associated Strategic Planning and change management documents, within the healthcare sector from a consultancy or healthcare provider background.
  • Degree in a related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Better Business CasesPractitioner qualification.
  • Professional status in relevant organisation and demonstration of ongoing CPD.
  • Understanding of healthcare procurement and delivery of the Business case stages.
  • Experience of leading and mentoring internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of successfully operating within multistakeholder environments, with the ability to challenge constructively and deliver clientled targets.
