Galgorm (Ballymena)

Hours will be discussed at interview stage.

SALARY:
£11.42 per hour moving to £12.42 per hour after 6 months service

About the role:

As laundry assistant at Galgorm you'll be filling orders for Galgorm Collection. The Resort is home to 125 guestrooms, self-catering accommodation, several restaurants, and our Award Winning Thermal Village, as well as our other sites in the Collection; The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, The Old Inn, Parisian & Fratelli Belfast.

The Laundry department can be very busy at times and this role is quite physically demanding but you will work alongside a supportive team to keep the laundry store organised, well-stocked & ensuring that all linen is cleaned and pressed to a high standard. The successful applicant will have the ability to work well under pressure and have a driven attitude to complete tasks in a timely manner.

The main responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Maintaining the laundry store facilities to meet company standards
Monitoring stock levels
Keeping the areas clean, tidy, and organised.
Cleaning and servicing all Galgorm Collection laundry as directed by the laundry manager and as per daily checklists.
Understanding wash guide instructions and requirements of the properties of cleaning materials to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
Ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all cleaning machinery.
Working within the guidelines of health and safety operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times.
To be fully conversant and comply with the health, safety, hygiene, fire, and security regulations and procedures of the laundry department and ensure others are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
Carrying out any other duties as requested by department heads or management.

Essential Criteria:

The successful applicant must:

Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have the ability to prioritise their time and the importance of various tasks, along with great organisational skills.

Must display a flexible work approach and be available to work weekends and weekdays:

Be able to multitask and be an excellent team player.

Desirable;

Previous housekeeping/laundry experience.
Hold a full clean driving license to fulfill delivering duties of laundry to other sites across the Collection
Previous experience working in a store/warehouse environment.
