Permanent, Part Time working 24 hours per week with flexible working hours.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Services team at Bristol City Council. We are dedicated to building digital services that prioritise the needs of our citizens, businesses and communities.


You will join our User-Centred Design team to support the creation of innovative, easy to use digital experiences aligning with the needs and preferences of our users, while meeting business objectives.


Responsibilities include:


  • Edit and publish engaging, usable, accessible usercentred content and services for our website and intranet, following our style and standards.
  • Edit and create simple online forms.
  • Manage expiring and outofdate content, set up redirectors and fix broken links.
  • Manage citizen feedback on our online services in a professional and timely manner, investigate issues and contact citizens for further information, flag common problems and refer issues to the relevant team.
  • Support Senior Content and UX Designers on content design projects, for example with user research and testing.

Skills required:


  • Experience of working in content design, UX, web editing or another relevant role or a relevant degree or qualification.
  • Working knowledge of creating, iterating and managing usercentred content using style guides as well as a demonstrable attention to detail, for example proof reading content.
  • Strong personal organisational skills and the ability to coordinate a number of tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and work to tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Be familiar with the Government Digital Service (GDS) approach and accessibility standards.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Be a problem solver.
