With over 5000 employees we are recruiting a Head of Shared Services to join our HR Operations leadership team to ensure our HR support services are aligned and delivering to our business and people strategy.


As the Head of Shared Services you will deliver critical business projects and services such as HR systems integration, retenders, audits and company reports.

You will also be accountable for developing and leading high performing teams across our People Support, Payroll, Reward, Pensions and HR systems teams.


What you'll be doing:

Ensuring our People Support and Payroll team are providing efficient and effective responses to our internal customers

Creating and delivering a roadmap of continuous improvement aligning to emerging technologies

Owning supplier relationships of our HR systems ensuring alignment to our business and people strategy, including upgrading of our SAP technology

Working closely with our Head of People Development and Head of Internal Comms and Culture to ensure our reward and benefits offering support across our business and people strategy

Working with key stakeholders to own the delivery of internal and external reports and be accountable for cross business projects and insight

What does it take to be successful?

Qualified to at least Level 5 CIPD

Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport and have strong leadership and team working skills

Strong understanding of payroll processes

Experience of leading system implementation/integration

Demonstrable experience of building and managing partner relationships, with the ability to persuade and challenge senior stakeholders

Track record of leading and developing teams in a customer centric environment

Ability to work in a high pressure environment with tight timescales and comfortable with ambiguity

Future focused to appreciate risks and take suitable actions
