HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Basic Salary:
£15.00


Hours: 4 on 4 off, 06:30 - 18:30

44 / 33 hours per week depending on shift rotation


Location:
Doncaster

We have an exciting opportunity for a HGV / Plant Technician to join our clients growing team operating out of our Doncaster site with occasional travel to other sites as required


This is what you'll be doing:

  • Maintain and repair heavy goods vehicles and trailers
  • Assist with recovering broken down vehicles
  • Maintain fixed plant including conducting PPMs
  • Provide maintenance support
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance where appropriate
  • Demonstrate welding capabilities to an acceptable standard
  • Work as part of a small team of three to provide support across the production facilities.

This is what we're looking for:

  • Be able to build up relationships and have good communication skills and work with production operational staff
  • Be highly motivated, organised with strong problemsolving skills
  • Must be flexible, determined, and enthusiastic
  • Must possess a current clean driving licence (C+E category)
  • Comply with all company and site statutory Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Preferably have a strong working knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Ideally, you would have qualifications in HGV / Plant operation / repairs, with experience of working in a similar role on your own or as part of a small team.
