Delivery Centre Support workers will provide support for the safe and smooth operation of group based programmes in Family/Neighbourhood centres.

They will work in close cooperation with Neighbourhood Group Workers to create and manage the suitability of the environment in the Neighbourhood Centres.

They will ensure that all participants and visitors to service provision are safely and warmly greeted, welcomed and enabled to get maximum benefit from their participation.

The health and safety of the operating environment will be monitored by these staff and appropriate 'risk assessed' responses put in place.

This means that these post holders will assist with such things as physical environment layout and maintenance of standards, basic testing, risk assessment and review procedures, bookings, displays, contractor liaison where necessary, multi-agency partner delivery requirements etc.

They will help manage any appointments arrangements at service points, deal with general queries, meet and greet service users and members of the public and carry out general processing tasks.

Where appropriate they may also assist with supporting group sessions to ensure appropriate supervision/ratios are maintained and to support group participants with their participation needs as necessary.

Delivery Centre Support Workers will operate mainly (but not exclusively) during the daytime and twilight operational hours which normally could potentially range between

8am and up until around 6.30pm. Flexible working is required and some occasional involvement in evening and weekend delivery sessions may be required to facilitate

access to neighbourhood centres to meet the needs of families.

Duties and responsibilities will be pro-rata to capacity in circumstances where Delivery Centre Support Workers are part time workers, where it is proposed that the smallest part time post in terms of hours will normally be 22.2 hrs per week, with some at 29.6 hrs and also full time options (37hrs).

Delivery Centre Support Workers will be line managed by the appropriate Senior Family Support Worker
