Machine Operator (Sandiacre / Bagging machine)

Start People are currently recruiting for Sandiacre/Bagging operators for our growing client in Maghull.

This position will be responsible for the effective operation of a bagging machine, and will include being trained up as a primary operator for a new machine, in addition to taking ownership of the machine/area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Startup checks and setting up machine
Ensuring machine is operating at target pack per minute
Diagnosing & escalating machinery breakdown problems
Completing paperwork to the required standard
Performing changeovers and ensuring downtime is minimised
Dealing with any material or packaging issues in a timely manner
Taking ownership of the work area
Resolving problems in an efficient manner
Ensuring food hygiene, food safety and health & safety practices are adhered to

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience of operating and setting up bagging machines
Ability to work under pressure as part of a team
Flexible, with a 'Can do' attitude
Prepared to support and develop 'best in class'
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment

Hours of work and pay rate
4 on, 4 off shift rotation

06:00-18:00

£12.15 per hour rising to £13.15 per hour after training

Pay:
£12.15-£13.15 per hour
