You will support the Health and Safety department in ensuring a safe working environment for employees as well as the people and property affected by its operations.
- Work across our schemes consisting of residential housing for blue chip housebuilders.
- Advise on project compliance and statutory provisions.
- Implement the company's HSE policies and monitor performance goals.
- Advise, guide and coach on all HSE issues.
- Maintain and continuously improve health and safety management systems.
Training
We will provide full training so no previous experience in health and safety is required.
- A tailored personal development plan to become a qualified Health & Safety Advisor
- Support to complete all relevant CSCS competencies to achieve a CSCS card.
- Further support to achieve a NVQ health and safety qualification or a NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma.
Key duties include
- Keeping stock and provide sites with PPE/RPE and safety signage.
- Assist with site visits and site audits compiling data for relevant reports.
- Learn and begin completing risk assessments, method statements and traffic management plans.
- Support in accident, incident, near miss and nonconformance management including investigation, identification of causation factors and remedial actions where required. As well as communication of outcome.
- Become a brand ambassador for all aspects of health, safety and sustainability.
The Successful Applicant will
- Hold a full UK Licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Be committed to effecting change.
Package
- Competitive salary dependant on level/experience
