An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a nutrition intervention being delivered by Cardiff and Vale Public Health Dietitians, targeting early years.

We are looking for enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant Practitioners with an interest in food and nutrition and experience of working in the community.


The post holder will have an interest in food and nutrition and experience of working in the community or with the specific population groups mentioned.

You will be an excellent communicator and have an understanding of some of the challenges our population might experience.


Under the supervision of a senior Dietitian you will work with families through group interventions in a community setting and one to one in their own home.

These roles will have a focus to support children and families from Black and minority ethnic communities living in the Southern part of the city to achieve a healthy weight.


The post holder will be working predominantly in areas of high deprivation with a population with diverse and complex health and social needs.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
