About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Foundation team as a Programme Coordinator, Employability.

In this role you will create and deliver high-quality employability programmes to provide life-changing opportunities in the most deprived areas of Liverpool, helping to raise the aspiration and job prospects for all participants.


What will you be doing?
This role will support the development of LFC Foundation's employability offer across Liverpool City Region.

The breadth of work will include working across the following programmes:


  • Global Works
  • Global Works
is a community-based employability programme funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund. This programme provides high-quality, outcome-driven delivery around employment support. Consisting of sport-based employability sessions, mentoring and post programme support. It will look to focus on the development of skills and exposure to careers within sport through meeting industry professionals.

  • SMF Works
  • SMF Works
is our multi-faceted employability programme which encompasses delivery in schools, colleges and community settings across LCR, for year-oldsfurthest away from the job market. Delivered over a series of sessions focusing on workplace behaviours, key employability skills and exploring the LFC Core values followed by an invite to Anfield for a tour and final workshop.

  • Creative Works
  • The Creative Works programme is our creative based employability programme. Delivered through workshops and industry visits, in which young people explore their creativity, develop an understanding of the pathways and career opportunities across various creative industries and work on soft skills such as communication, teamwork and critical thinking.
  • Mentor Works
  • A post programme support service that engages with local professionals and businesses to mentor participants from across our employability programmes.

Your key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Deliver employability programmes that both up-skill and raise the aspiration of young people with a strong focus on developing and managing our Mentor Works programme.
  • Create curriculum and work with external partners to achieve programme KPIs.
  • Identify and recruit young people, working alongside the Foundation's marketing team.
  • Manage a range of stakeholders including the recruitment, vetting and training of professional mentors.
  • Manage programme logistics include venuemanagement, transport, food and accommodation.
  • Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation framework is carried out effectively to ensure data is captured accurately and in line with our reporting procedures.
  • Facilitate work experience placements that support both the young person and the employer.
  • Manage the risk across employability programmes to ensure the safety of all young people and staff.
  • Continually carry out the quality assurance procedure to ensure consistent delivery of a worldclass programme.
  • Incorporate the highest safeguarding practices into all your work.

Who are we looking for?


To be successful in this role you will have experience in signposting young people to further opportunities, including experience working within education, teaching and/or careers environment.

You'll be experienced in planning and delivering educational sessions and had previous experience working with young people and vulnerable adults.

You will have experience in collecting and analysing data. You'll have a level 1 in Safeguarding Young People.


You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of inclusive youth work practices and a knowledge of mentoring in a youth work context.

You'll have a good knowledge of local industry. You'll have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. You will have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including strong organisational skills. You will be competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including being proficient on social media platforms.

You'll be able to showcase your commitment to Liverpool FC Foundation's mission and values.


Why should you apply?


This is a full-time fixed term role for a period of 2 year with the view to extended, depending on the business needs.

You will be working
35
hours per week. Your main base will be our Anfield Sports & Community Centre.

however, the role will involve some work traveling to other locations across Merseyside from time to time and occasionally further travel across England and Wales.
