Yardman / Material Handler

Basic Function:

This interesting and varied "hands on" role for a Yardman / Material Handler, based near Cambourne, involves working a variety of different roles including, looking after the yard, handling materials and helping our in-house maintenance department.

You must be able to work within a team, either in the main production area or if applicable on a client's site and be aware of all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.

Must drive due to location._

General Objectives and Responsibilities of this Yardman / Material Handler role:

Keeping the factory yard clean.
Helping the maintenance department.
Packing and picking.
Helping in factory and office sections where necessary.
Gardening grass cutting.

Forklift Operating

Loading & Unloading Materials and Products.

Contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday with a 10 minute break 10.00 am am and 1⁄2 hour lunch-break 1.00 pm pm.

Working Hours:

Monday 7.30 am pm / 1.30 pm pm
Tuesday 7.30 am pm / 1.30 pm pm
Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am pm / 1.30 pm pm
Friday 7.30 am 12 noon (unless working overtime).

Overtime is generally available paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Th pay for this Yardman / Material Handler role is £ £13.00 per Hour. Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
