A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a rapidly growing PE-backed global Media business who are now in the market for a Financial Controller.

Role & responsibilities:

Full ownership and review of Management accounts at month end for all business areas, working closely with Financial Reporting manager and Management Accountants on P&L and balance sheet controls and group submission to deadlines, providing meaningful commentaryagainst Budget
Weekly client revenue and cost forecasting on a rolling basis, reviewing with FD and understanding revenue movements week on week
Responsibility of assisting FD with commercial finance requirements for the business i.e. managing capacity planning, client profitability, client servicing, utilisation etc.
Process improvements working with Financial reporting manager on systems migration projects, building financial models when required i.e. consolidated revenue sheets
Reviewing and managing networking capital with the team. Reviewing intercompany, cash flow with Management accountants/Finance analysts.
Assisting FD & CFO on ad hoc projects
Strategic acquisitions, RFPs, Contract reviews, investor relations, rate card negotiations etc.
Weekly client revenue and cost forecasting

Qualification & skills requirements

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
Very proficient on Excel especially in data manipulation, financial modelling, handling large data sets, presenting numbers in a high level concise manner
Solid commercial knowledge
Media agency experience essential ideally media buying background
Experience with foreign currencies, intercompany, more complex company structures
Solid communication skills, especially the ability to communicate with non finance people a succinct manner
Proactive and able to challenge
