A global Japanese company which manufactures components for the UK's largest car manufacturers is seeking a Graduate Engineer to be based near Wigan.
The site which employs 250 staff has benefited from a £5M investment programme to modernise the manufacturingcapability.Along with a starting Salary of £28,000 incrementing to £36,000, you will also receive a 6% Contributory Pension and 24 days holiday + Public Holidays.
The company will also provide a customised PDP (Professional Development Plan) which includes formal training,visits to Japan for specialist development and mentoring by senior management.
As the Graduate Engineer, your duties will include:
- Working in all areas of the business including Production, Quality, Maintenance & Manufacturing
- Working on production efficiency projects including automation
- Working with and programming six axis Robotics to improve processes across the site.
- Developing a strong understanding of the processes used to produce components for some of the most prestigious vehicles in the UK.
The successful Graduate Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
- Educated to Degree level in an Engineering related discipline Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing
- Methodical approach to problem solving.
- Ambitious to develop a career within engineering and carve out a career in a global company
- Aspirations to work towards management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
