Consultant Cardiac Physiologist - Specialising in Imaging


Department:
Cardiac Diagnostic Unit (MFT)


Grade:
Band 8b


Hours: 37.5 hours per week (PT/FT)


The post holder takes responsibility for the strategic planning and high level provision of specialist diagnostic cardiac services within the area of cardiac imaging ; they will maintain their own consultant level specialist caseload in addition to providing highly specialised expert advice to medical colleagues on complex cases.


The post holder is responsible for identifying, advising on and introducing service developments and implementing changes to practice in the field based on evidence based research and best practice guidance.

The post holder is the lead member of the Cardiac Physiology management team.


The post holder will act as lead on specific imaging based projects and initiates own research and development activity, they will provide specialist training to multi-disciplinary teams and trainees as appropriate.
