    Description

Make a Difference in the Lives of Those Affected by Dementia

We are the Alzheimer's Society, the UK's leading dementia charity, working tirelessly to provide support and hope to those living with dementia today and in the future.

Our mission is clear: we want to create a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We believe that everyone affected by dementia deserves the best possible care and support, and we're committed to making this a reality.

As a Regional Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our goals. You will be responsible for building and developing relationships with local communities, businesses, and individuals to raise vital funds for our cause.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and facilitate fundraising efforts in Counties Down & Armagh and the surrounding area.
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities within your area.
    • Increase engagement for the Alzheimer's Society across our sub-region.
    • Build trusted and professional relationships internally and externally.
    • Recruit, manage, and celebrate the value of our supporters and volunteers.

This is a home-based or hybrid (Belfast) role, with regular travel required across Northern Ireland to meet supporters and attend internal meetings and events. You must live within the NI South area or surrounding areas, with costs reimbursed for travel for business purposes within NI South and outside this with prior approval.

    What We're Looking For

    • A passionate and dedicated individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with local communities, businesses, and individuals.
    • Experience in relationship fundraising, business development, or a related field.
    • A proactive and reliable team player who can contribute positively to a team-focused culture.

Contract: Maternity cover for 12 months. Interviews on 18th June.
