Salary:
The starting salary is £37,289, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.


The salary is broken down as £34,448 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £36,864 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

NPCC SERIOUS ORGANISED CRIME TEAM

The NPCC Communications Team plays a crucial role in communicating the collective views and action of UK police chiefs to the public, government, and stakeholders, building and maintaining confidence in policing at the national level and supporting effective engagement with stakeholders.


THE ROLE


The postholder will provide high level, confidential and executive support to the NPCC SOC Portfolio Office, ROCU network and associated Portfolios in line with emerging policies, practices and legislation whilst ensuring specific projects are tasked out across the ROCU and SOC Network and are running to schedule.

To ensure the performance of SOC is on track and to provide critical feedback on the performance of the respective portfolios.


They will also manage the governance of business support functions at an executive level ensuring needs and requirements are met around local and national partners and stakeholders.

To continually develop and maintain efficient and effective processes to ensure an excellent level of service is delivered in a pressurised environment.


VETTING
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis.

Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.

Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access.

However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties.

For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e))
OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Occasional national travel may be required.

Travel expenses will be paid if location allowance is not being received, or when travel falls outside of the home to work journey.

NPCC will pay for overnight accommodation if required.
