Description

This is an exciting opportunity to spend 12 months working in the Strategy Directorate of Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, gaining insight and experience across a variety of departments.

You will work on specific projects, guided by structured goals and objectives, developing your skills and confidence, with coaching and mentoring throughout.


Working as directed on specific projects including supporting the development of stakeholder engagement, response to tenders, business development initiatives, transformation projects, corporate and specialty strategy; and working to help build better relationships with our local community of GPs and Primary Care.


Prepare drafts for a range of materials, including internal and external papers, reports, presentations, newsletters, and web content, seeking advice where necessary.

This will require concentration when writing, analysing and checking documents.

Undertake desk-based research on local, regional and national healthcare directives including reviewing board papers and policies.

Draft briefing documents and minutes.

Attend strategy and engagement community events and support the strategy team to seek views on various projects.


Provide support to the strategy team so that we can deliver effective advice and guidance to colleagues across the organisation.

Assist with committee meetings (draft papers/create agenda, organise dates / venues arrange guest speakers etc).

Support with communication and engagement plans, tracking stakeholder engagement.

Identify and take responsibility for your own learning requirements in line with the role.

Work directly with the Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development, with exposure to senior meetings and staff including Director's meetings.
