Description
This is a Coordinator role to provide publishing, events, and administration support within a small staff team.

This includes assisting the Director, event planning, desktop publishing, record keeping, administration of teacher training events and the network of yoga teachers and supporters of the charity.

Generally assisting with the flow of materials in and out to prisons, alongside all manner of communication into and out of the office, and the appropriate processing of information.


Duties

1. Desk top publishing

  • Using In-Design to create and prepare newsletters for printing.
  • Formatting reports, handbooks, programmes, handouts, and forms
  • Creating event invitations
  • Keeping up to date with current stock of our resources (books, CDs and DVDs) and arrange more to be printed when necessary.

Organising events - online and in person

  • Preparing distribution lists for invitations
  • Coordinating participants and keeping records
  • Supporting the yoga team with teacher training events and workshops
  • Organising letter writers' workshops
  • Book venues or arrange zoom meetings for upcoming events.
  • Write and carry out database queries to ensure appropriate people are invited.
  • Create mail chimp campaigns for invitations.
  • Create invitations using InDesign.
  • Set up and manage excel spreadsheets to track information, including responses to invitations, payments.
  • Keep track of costs and invoices
  • Liaise with other relevant staff throughout the process.

Fielding enquiries from the public and managing information.

  • Support Director and Deputy Director with thanks to donors; to ensure all necessary information is recorded.

General Duties

  • Enable the Director to work more effectively by offering personal assistance as required.
  • Process the post when required.
  • Any other tasks at the discretion of the Director.
  • Supporting volunteers coming into the office.

Terms and Conditions

  • Starting salary: £27,344 pro rata (4 days a week), per year.
  • Working hours 9am to 5.30pm including an hour for lunch.
  • Flexibility of work includes occasional early starts, and occasional weekends for which there is time off in lieu.
Paid Leave: 20 days a year pro rata, plus bank holidays and time off between Christmas and New Year.

  • Pension: The charity operates a contributory pension scheme.

£21,875.20 per year
