Full Time

Bedford

Salary Approx.£45-£50k dependent on experience.

Job Summary:

Our client is recruiting for a service engineer to join their team, there office is based in North Bedford however this role cover locations all over the UK so overnight stays will be required.

You will be responsible for the commissioning end of line packaging machinery and associated electrical equipment.

The individual must be customer focused at all times, must be prepared to work within and as part of a team, be able to interact with colleagues,management at all levels, clients and other trades in a professional and tactful manner, and in doing so present a positive image of the Company.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Support customers and In-house (Sales, Admin and Operations).Commission packaging machinery equipment and associated electrical equipment.

Access client equipment with use of a laptop using PLC software
(Siemens / Allen Bradley) or other remote software.

Provide supervisory and technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels.

Ensure that follow-up work requirements are referred back to the appropriate staff to enable necessary action and recommendations to clients.

Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the Company.

Provide support and co-operation to the management and to colleagues, and be prepared and willing to help and contribute to the success of the company at all times;
Observe and adhere to company health & safety guidelines and contribute to a healthy and safe working environment.

You will need have the below experience and skills
3-5 years' experience with the packaging machinery and a commercial/technical environment.

Relevant technical qualification.

Electronic / Electrical Engineering experience

Ability to use Siemens and Allen Bradley software to modify programs and install into the machines.

Proven experience in an electrical/ installation environment.

Experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment.

Ability to supervise.
