We have a number of opportunities for Trainee Data Analysts to join us at Newtyne Consultancy and Training, a specialist IT consultancy focused on data and analytics solutions.

Working in partnership with both Sainsbury's Bank and Tesco Bank We are lookingfor trainees to work on an innovative training program with us, including placement within the Bank's Credit Risk or Fraud Teams.

These Analyst Roles are key to the continued success of the teams providing support and contributing to the focus on delivering against the banksstrategy in both Credit Risk and Fraud to provide successful outcomes and ensure that targets are achieved.

The successful Trainee Data Analysts will receive training with leading analytical and statistical tools, gain the widely recognised Base SAS accreditation, and become familiar with fundamental credit risk or fraud concepts alongside an SQA accredited qualificationthe Professional Certificate in Applied Data Programming.

As a Trainee Analyst, you will gain experience producing high quality, accurate and insightful MI and analysis to understand and explain trends and variances from within the Credit Risk portfolio or contributing to Fraud & AML reporting and MI, tracking andinterpreting data and providing insights to stakeholders to build Financial Crime resilience.


What we are looking for in a Trainee Data Analyst:

This role requires a high degree of numeracy and attention to detail, with good interpersonal skills as you will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Applicants must have recent 1st class or 2.1 degree or MSc in a numerate degree such as mathematics, statistics or similar degree discipline that demonstrates analytical or mathematical capabilities such as engineering, the sciences, economics will also beconsidered.

The role has a technical element but also requires good people and communication skills and business awareness.

The successful applicant by start of employment must be able to work permanently in the UK.

Analysts will receive a salary of £25,000 per annum from Day 1 whilst training and are not required to contribute to the initial month of training provided.

Benefits package included. You will also secure a SAS Base Certification, and an SQA qualification,and receive a pension scheme, WFH support, and holiday (21 days plus fixed & BH)

The selection process includes an online pre-selection chat,initial online Numeric and Critical Reasoning test and if successful it is followed by an assessment and interview - also conducted online.

6th March 2023 and are available for the following month to complete the required training which will be delivered online via our Digital Learning Platform.
