Description
This is a permanent position based in the Division of Genomics, St Mary's Hospital, Manchester.

The Division is a NHS clinical service provider of Genomics to a population of 7.2 million people in the North West of England.


You will become the go-to Expert on all matters relating to the designated clinical system in terms of functionality and good practice.

Undertake programming development, acceptance testing and quality assurance of system improvements and enhancements.


Investigate, diagnose and log 3rd line system incidents, problems, service requests internally and externally, working with other staff and external suppliers to manage system incidents and upgrades.


Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for allocated incidents and problems; instigating emergency action, when required, liaising with other Trust Managers, as appropriate.


Provide and support training and education for end users where applicable, or support teams on any new elements/ functionality being introduced within the project.


Identify any issues and risks that may arise from using the system and make recommendations to address these, ensuring there is a proactive and comprehensive approach to risk management.
