We have an opportunity for a part time Band 3 Homecare Clerk in our Distribution team based in the Pharmacy Stores on the Queen Elizabeth site.
Responsible for the pharmacy financial administration of Homecare service provision under the direction of the Senior Homecare Technician.This will include
- Financial administration of Homecare service provision including dispensing of prescriptions.
- Maintaining Homecare database and records
- Aiding in the transformation over to electronic filing systems
- Training other staff
- Ensure all Homecare Services are managed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create orders from stores to external suppliers for Homecare drugs and sundries.
- Ensure registration forms and prescriptions for new patients are fully completed and processed promptly.
- Maintain the pharmacy Homecare database in a timely manner to facilitate the monthly drug expenditure reporting to ensure money can be reclaimed from the Commissioners.
- Write and update all Standard Operating Procedures for the Homecare Service
- Work and liaise with a variety of staff at all levels
You will be expected to work alongside other administrative staff and those dealing with deliveries and wards, so a strong focus and work ethic is essential.
We are a friendly team and some staff rotate throughout the department.Post Title:

Job Summary:
Responsible for the pharmacy financial administration of Homecare service provision and Medical Gases under the direction of the Senior Technician IT, Stores and Distribution.
- Financial administration of Homecare service provision including dispensing of prescriptions.
- Maintaining Homecare database
- Training of other staff
- Work will be generated by staff within the pharmacy department and by staff in wards and departments within the hospital and community services.
- Communications and Relationships
You will liaise with pharmacists, technicians and other staff within the Pharmacy department.
You will be communicating with prescribers and specialist nursing staff from wards and departments within the hospital.
You will be communicating with external homecare providers
