The Endoscopy Administration Team are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, dynamic and competent individual to join their innovative, forward thinking, passionate team who strive to ensure patient care is at the forefront of our service.


We are looking for an individual with a wide range of skills to enhance our highly skilled workforce and deliver high quality, patient centred care.


The post holder will support and assist in the effective running of the Endoscopy Unit and on a day to day basis working collaboratively as part of a team and working confidently as an individual.

The successful applicant must be hardworking, flexible, adaptable to the ever changing and fast paced environment and be able to work and build relationships and liaise with colleagues at all levels, all directorates and disciplines to achieve and meet the required targets.

  • You will have day to day responsibility for booking patients, have an indepth understanding of waiting list management and booking procedures and will manage the endoscopy waiting list ensuring compliance with local and national targets and policies and procedures.

  • The Endoscopy Administration Team consists of four endoscopy coordinators, a receptionist and a clinic preparation clerk who work very closely with the nursing team within the department
  • Deal with queries, visitors and telephone enquiries in a helpful, courteous and efficient manner. Deal efficiently and politely with patients who have to have their endoscopy appointments rearranged
  • Provide advice, information, and guidance to patients and relatives regarding endoscopy appointments and general queries about waiting list management and direct any queries about the procedure itself to nursing staff
  • Undertake mandatory and other training as deemed necessary and participate in the training and induction of new staff
