Aim of the Post:

To provide effective administrative support to the organisation, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service to member's and their carers.

This role is to cover maternity leave, initially for a three month period with the possibility of extension.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To assist with developing and maintaining effective and efficient administration systems and procedures.
  • To produce the organisation's newsletter each quarter and circulate to all relevant stakeholders.
  • To monitor and update staff training records.
To rota plan, taking into account annual leave requests/training courses, and organise relief shift cover where necessary.

  • To update social media pages weekly with Centre information.
  • To organise framework for new service users joining the service and distribute exit survey's appropriately following end of service.
  • To prepare transport sheets for the daily operation of the service ensuring these are accurate.
  • To prepare and distribute invoices to appropriate organisations and carers.
  • To support the word processing needs of the management team.
  • To effectively implement all NEDC's policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • To minute monthly staff team meetings.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Participate in support and supervision sessions with the centre manager, or designated line manager.
  • Attend relevant training courses and inservice training.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience in an administrative/clerical role.
  • Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft packages and good IT literacy skills.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload that involves liaising with a range of stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the organisation, often on a daily basis.
  • The ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks in response to varying pressures and demands.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
£11.50-£12.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Work Location:
In person
