O&M Sales Manager - Renewable Energy


Our client is a global independent power producer who generates renewable energy from wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage projects.

Alongside originating and developing renewable energy projects, they also act as a global equipment distributor and O&M services provider.


They are now seeking an O&M Sales Manager who will be responsible for growing and maintaining a UK sales pipeline, alongside supporting internal EPC & Development teams.


Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with private equity companies, utilities, IPPs, and external stakeholders who are owning and developing solar assets.
  • Defining and implementing O&M country sales strategy.
  • Working with the Global O&M Sales Manager to prepare budget and set goals aligned with O&M objectives.
  • Building relationships with customers to understand the needs of the current marketplace and work with O&M Operations team to develop strategic solutions.
  • Leading sales O&M negotiations for 3rd parties and coordinating sales O&M offers for the company, in accordance with O&M strategy and targets.
  • Setting guidelines for risk management.
  • Analysing the current marketplace and implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.
  • Implementing an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking processes.
  • Ensuring the submission of technically and commercially competitive bids with O&M proposals and contract negotiations.

Requirements:


  • Engineering / Management degree ideally at Msc / Bsc level.
  • Proven network of key industry contacts and expert knowledge of the major asset owners and investment funds within the UK.
  • Strong understanding of the solar industry is preferred, but experience within power generation sectors will be considered.
  • Experience in management, negotiation and closing service contracts with senior stakeholders.
  • Customer interfacing experience
  • Knowledge of main manufacturers in solar PV industry
