Senior Formulation Scientist

Location - Oxfordshire

Sector - Pharmaceutical Drug Development

Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical CRO based in Oxfordshire and is now seeking a Senior Formulation Scientist to join the company and support with early formulation development for R&D projects.

Due to the needs of the company this is a site-based position.

The role:

Performing Early formulation development and analytical experiments for R&D projects
Daytoday planning and execution of projects including formulation design, development, and characterisation
Work collaboratively with other departments including API development, Drug discovery, Safety assessment, and Drug product clinical sites
Ensure acceptable quality standard are maintain within the project and projects are delivered within a given timeframe

Suitable applicants will ideally have:

Prior industry experience working within a Formulation Science role for the pharmaceutical sector
Prior experience of early stage/preclinical pharmaceutical formulation
Familiarity with UPLC / HPLC, XRPD, DSC, TGA, GVS, PSD instrumentation
Prior experience supporting formulation development projects to successful completion
Phd or MSc Degree in Pharmaceutical or Chemistry discipline
Strong organisation and communication skills along with ability to problemsolve.
