Description
Our is client is a well established Lloyd's syndicate. This role be will supporting the outward reinsurance process for all London and European operations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and report on outstanding balances with the reinsurers
  • Maintain reinsurance procedures manual in line with the Company's reinsurance procedures
  • Analyse claims for major losses and provide claims details to brokers, reinsurance purposes and the Finance teams for recoveries
  • Analyse and report on premiums, claims and ultimate loss data for quarterly reporting
  • Conduct ongoing checks of financial data to ensure accuracy and validation
  • Support the production of quarterly financial returns provided to the Actuarial and Finance teams and remedy where any feedback is given for updating
  • Analysis and approval of daily messages from Xchanging to provide control figures for reconciliation
  • Provide advice and guidance to the underwriting teams in respect to reinsurance aspects
  • Provide inhouse expert advice and coaching for data entry and functionality of the underwriting system
  • Provide accurate communication to underwriting system users in respect to data integrity and procedural system changes
  • Support Operations/Finance teams by providing technical advice, support and expertise when required.
  • Support the production of accurate monthly financial reports
  • Assist with the accurate biannual Realistic Disaster Scenario (RDS) reports to Lloyd's
  • Provide support for accurate quarterly Lloyd's and Group reports
  • Input into the quarterly QMA/QMB reports to Lloyd's

Experience and skills required:

  • Outwards Reinsurance experience
  • Lloyd's and London Market processing arrangements for reporting
  • Knowledge of Xchanging systems and processes
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Negotiation, judgment and decision making ability
  • Numerate
  • Strong communicator, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Excel, Word and Outlook, Underwriting Systems, and LORS
