Description

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Occupational Health Administrator to work for Dorset Police at their headquarters in Winfrith, Dorchester.

You will be working Monday to Wednesday 8:30am to 4:30pm totalling 24 hours a week.

This is an ongoing temporary assignment.

To provide a professional, confidential, and comprehensive administration service for OHSU. Creating & maintaining sensitive records, arranging appointments, producing reports & updating databases, ensuring medical confidentiality is maintained.


PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The provision of an efficient & effective OH Administration Support service covering the full range of duties including creating & maintaining records, arranging appointments, producing reports & updating databases.
  • To ensure the efficient production & transmission of OH reports in accordance with agreed timescales
  • To provide a first point of contact telephone service for OH.
  • The provision of general administrative support to the clinical and nonclinical teams
  • To raise purchase orders and process invoices ensuring prompt payment.
  • The ability to deal with distressing content in confidential medical reports
  • This list of duties is not restrictive or exhaustive and the postholder may be required to carry out duties from time to time that are either commensurate with/or lower than the grade of the post. In some posts this might include the adhoc provision of guidance and informal training of new colleagues.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to deliver a customerfocused service in a confidential environment.
  • Ability to work as a supportive member of a team as well as to work under own initiative.
  • Good IT Skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to quickly gain a good understanding and ability to use bespoke IT systems.
  • Good problem solving, organisational and decisionmaking skills with the ability to prioritise a range of related duties, under pressure, to meet deadlines/targets
  • Ability to work in a multi discipline, confidential environment with sensitive material
