Church of the Ascension Pre-School Playgroup -
Hall Green are looking for a hard working Level 3 (or higher) Early Years Practitioner (22.5 Hours per week,
term time only) to join our small team. We are a Trustee led, pack away setting that has strong ties with the local community and parents.

The role involves completing planning, activities and observations for the children in line with EYFS, liaising with parents regarding their child's development, ensuring a clean and safe environment at all times.

It is a demanding job with high management expectations.


You must:

• Hold a recognised early years level 3 or equivalent, along with work experience with preschool children
• Current First Aid Qualification
• Excellent communication and written skills that meet the requirements of the EYFS
• Be passionate about providing the highest quality of preschool education possible
• The ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of a small team
• Current DBS and subscription to Update Service

Responsibilities will include;

• Safeguarding all of the children in accordance to the setting's Policies and Procedures.
• Liaising with and forming strong partnerships with parents, including taking part in development progress review meetings and providing daily feedback to parents and carers.
• Observing and planning for children's needs. Providing exciting and stimulating activities based on next steps for children.
• Leading a key group
• Tracking Progress.
• Adhering to the setting's policies and procedures at all times.
• Assisting in the setting up and clearing away of the pack away setting

Key Attributes of an applicant include;

• Comprehensive knowledge and able to demonstrate understanding of the EYFS and Early Years Outcomes and Statutory Framework documents.
• Being highly organised and a good communicator.
• Having a good command of the English language
• Knowledge of SEND

The hours of work are 08.00 am pm Monday - Friday, term time only up to £10.42 per hour dependent on age
