Due to an extension of our normal working practices we currently have a vacancy for a Healthcare Assistant/Ophthalmic Assistant to join iSIGHT Clinic.

ISIGHT Clinic has been providing excellence in eye care for 25 years.

As specialists in eye care we offer services in Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Corneal surgery, laser eye surgery, Glaucoma, Ocular plastics, Squints and General Ophthalmology.

• The day to day running of clinics, on site and in the community
• Carrying our relevant diagnostic tests.
• Assist in the running of pre and postoperative clinics including diagnostic support
• Prepare and set up clinic and treatment rooms for clinical treatments and minor ops ensuring the rooms and equipment are ready for use.
• Perform diagnostic tests for patients
• Support theatre team as runner/ patient escort
• To work in the decontamination unit when required

This is a permanent position based at our main hospital in Southport, Merseyside, and our outreach clinics in West Lancashire.

Driving is essential for this post.

In addition, you will also need to possess:

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word
• Flexibility & use of a car as travel to nearby sites is required
• Experience of working in Ophthalmology or Optometry is desirable but not essential as full on site training can be delivered

£11.44 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
