Our Client is a leading provider of IT-managed services, onsite support, and field engineering with a growing portfolio of customers, as a result, they are looking to hire a number of IT Support Technicians to assist clients over the phone, remotely, andin-person across the Hampshire region.


As an IT Support Technician,you will form part of the Managed Services Department providing 1st and 2nd line telephone, remote, and on-site support services.

Your key responsibility is to provide technical support to the IT systems and utilisethe HelpdeskSystem to manage all tickets and requests following these through to resolution.

You will carry out regular visits, and remote support which includes monitoring, and account management.

You will work with other departments to implement plans and strategies to drive company performance and provide solutions to any complex IT-related challengesin the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line onsite technical support
  • Ensure the IT needs of the Customer are met in relation to teaching, learning, and administration
  • Provide regular reports to the Service Manager / Virtual Network Manager
  • Ensure equipment is installed and ready for use by enduser e.g., PCs, Laptops, Projectors, AV Equipment, Digital Signage, Printers
  • Troubleshoot, resolve or escalate?onsite issues with all relevant information
  • Restore Data, reimage devices, and find missing or updated drivers where required
  • Hardware repair and replacement
  • Ensure monitoring alerts are investigated and where required logged on the Helpdesk
  • Liaise with thirdparty software and service providers where required
  • Respond to all tickets within SLA
  • Maintain customer IT records such as Inventory, Password Records, Stock Control, Change Control Records, Active Directory User Accounts, Email Account provision, and Door Entry/Signing in System User Records

Skills and Experience

  • Worked within an educational environmentor anManaged Service Provider (MSP)
  • Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Exchange Online
  • Skilled in software, hardware, and network troubleshooting
  • Ability to observe proper verbal and written communication
  • Experience in iOS device deployment


  • Virtualisation Experience

  • Hyper-V, VMWare
  • Networking experience especially in Aruba Networks (i.e., Aruba AirWave, Aruba Central)

Location:
Fleet, Hampshire


Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000 PA


Status:
Full-Time, Permanent
