Description
Work as part of the nursing team to promote high standards of care to national standards and benchmarks. To communicate effectively with the patients and relatives, referring any concerns to qualified nurses. To reinforce & promote health education advice to patients. To support & assist other team members in their professional work.

To organise own work load efficiently Participate, as part of the department team, in implementing change and service developments. To assist with department initiatives to audit as appropriate. Maintains awareness of the Trust and departmental financial position and assists the team to manage resources effectively. To be aware of current issues and policies within the Trust & the department and adhere to them.


Ensure that self and other professionals adhere to infection control best practice and policies in all aspects of clinical work.

To clean and take appropriate care of clinical equipment and ensure timely and accurate reporting of faults to EBME. Ensure that clinical and non-clinical risks are identified and appropriately reported according to the trust policy. Participate in accurate record keeping/documentation & use of computerised information systems.

Liaise with the senior staff or their designated deputy, to report and / or resolve complaints or patient concerns.
