Description

The Product Sales Support role is a developing professional role with regional responsibility for supporting all elements of origination and conversion of pipeline for Commercial Cards.


The individual will acquire and gain an in-depth knowledge of the Commercial Cards organisation and areas of focus and prioritization for this product family, whilst providing support on the end-to-end sales process with the view of progressing to direct ownership of the end-to-end sales process for a defined vertical.

This role provides a great opportunity to build an extensive network across our TTS, CCB and BCMA organisation.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the endtoend sales process from preRFP analysis, through to stakeholder management, RFP response, presentation, pricing strategy, negotiation and deal closure
  • Use available payments data to identify specific flows to support origination efforts across the team and client verticals
  • Leverage both internal network (Bankers, relationship teams) and external partners (Associations
  • Visa & MasterCard, Travel Management Companies, Consultants etc) to support pipeline development and gather intelligence of target market Prospects
  • Provide input into strategy development to convert prospects to real opportunities and achieve a team annual revenue target
  • Assist sales lead to fully understand client accounts payable payment processes with the aim of identifying card solutions that would allow the Client to improve their current processes from an efficiency and costbenefit perspective and also deliver working capital benefits
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Finance colleagues on joinedup approaches to our Clients for supplier payments
  • Ensure the broader relationship teams (GSS, BCMA and CCB) have uptodate talking points and are positioning Card solutions with clients
  • Have expert detailed knowledge of Citi's suite of cards solutions available globally and be able to articulate the reason for any country nuances
  • Prepare sales presentations and pitches
  • Maintain an accurate and updated pipeline of all prospects in CRM on behalf of the Card Sales team
  • Work with Contract Management team to ensure rapid contract negotiation and execution
  • Work with partners in Onboarding to ensure new business is implemented effectively and efficiently to deliver revenue without delay
  • Provide Sales colleagues and Product Management with any market or competitor intelligence and provide input into annual Tech and innovation planning cycle
  • Work with Card Product Sales on deal replication, specifically relating to a particular flow or industry
  • Attend regular team and sales management meetings

Qualifications:


  • Creative in solving problems and intellectually curious
  • Hard working and diligent
  • Detail orientated
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Project desirable
  • Quickthinking and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable with clients and articulate in oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in large franchise/branch networks, matrix & multinational model

Education:


  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
