An exciting opportunitity to join a growing finance team of an international investment bank as an Accounts Payable Executive and take ownership of the accounts payable function due to a move internally.

The role will be initially a 6 month contract witha potential view to extension or conversion to permanent.

Role Responsibilities:

Processing supplier invoices
Setting up new supplier and employee expense ledgers
Processing foreign currency invoices.
Work with colleagues and suppliers to resolve queries
Requesting coding of invoices by project coordinators
Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
Verification and processing of expense claims for payment
Credit notes allocation
Preparation of weekly payment runs, and submission to AP Supervisor for final check
Accounts Payable inbox management
Ensure that all accounts payable processes are completed following the monthly accounting

Complete other adhoc tasks as and when required

Skills/Specification:

Completion or studying towards a relevant accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience is also considered
Background working in financial services perferable but not essential (Banking/Trading highly preferable)
Good team player. Comfortable working as part of a small and organisationally flat team team ready and willing to be hands on and support colleagues as and when required
Good communication skills will work closely with the Accounts Payable team in the UK and overseas
Good Excel skills essential
