Description

As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the daily upkeep of all PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) within your designated region.

Exhibiting a high standard of people skills for engaging with our guests.


You will be joining a high energy team who take pride in their commitment to our guests and the cities they work in.

A Maintenance Operative will need to ensure the properties are maintained to a high standard to give our guests reassurance for their health and safety, achieved through timely reactive maintenance and working with the local property manager(s) to ensure compliance with all building health and safety regulations with support from the Property, Risk and Compliance Manager.

You will provide great customer service to our guests whilst keeping costs to a reasonable and budgeted level.


Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

  • Timely processing of reactive maintenance tickets, diagnosing problems quickly and efficiently, and keeping guests informed at each step via our electronic ticketing system
  • Conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly statutory compliance checks as required in each property
  • Assist with end of tenancy checkout inspections
  • Assess, report and action end of tenancy turnaround maintenance
  • Find, develop and maintain good relationships with local contractors
  • Liaise and coordinate with 3rd party contractors for access to work on site
  • Ensure properties are maintained to ANUK standards or higher
  • Keeping a high standard of service through robust and timely engagement with our guests

Qualifications

  • Minimum 23 years of handson property maintenance experience covering all areas of general maintenance including (but not limited to) basics of carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical
  • Locally (Bristol area) based, access to own vehicle for travel between properties desirable
  • Good all round understanding of statutory maintenance requirements (Fire, water regs etc)
  • Advanced Electrical and/or plumbing experience and access to own tools would be advantageous
  • IT reporting skills.
  • Detailoriented with strong communication skills
