THE ROLE:


Ground Maintenance Operatives required for Croydon Council's Ground Maintenance team, making sure the local parks are cleaned and all grass/landscape is maintained.


Duties will include:

  • Maintenance of parks, cemeteries and public spaces around the Croydon Borough.
  • Cutting grass
  • Trimming hedges
  • Clearing shrubs and weeds
  • Ideally, hold a full UK driving licence
Initially a 3-month contract. £13.98 per hour.


THE CANDIDATE:


  • Some experience with horticultural machines preferred (lawn mowers, hedges trimmers etc)
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Ability to perform ground maintenance tasks
  • Good communication skills; able to interact with the public professionally and courteously.
  • Must be able to start within a week of applying.
  • Must have full right to work in the UK
  • Have a valid UK passport/birth certificate or Residence Permit with share code.
  • One work reference
