CK Group are recruiting for a CAD Engineer to join a Glass Manufacturer company at their site based in Ormskirk on a permanent basis.


The Company:

Our client is part of the world's largest glass manufacturing groups.

They provide glass and glazing solutions for the architectural and automotive industries, as well as offering innovative solutions for specialist and creative technology.


Location:

This role is located out of our client's site in Ormskirk. Our client offers flexible working and expects employees on site 3 days a week.


Your main duties will be:


  • Designing and developing high quality 2D and 3D models for automotive glass and glazing systems.
  • Designing and developing 2D and 3D models for plastic injection moulded components, metal and rubber extrusions, castings and pressed parts.
  • Ensuring all designs adhere to company and industry standards, and updating product design files.

Your Background:


  • A degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 2+ years post graduate experience in CAD.
  • Expertise in the use of CATIA V
  • Knowledge of NX and FEA would beneficial.
