Our amazing #TeamSchoolPark in Strichen are now on the lookout for a new *male colleague on a permanent part-time hours per week) basis.

For this opportunity, we will need you to have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to the rural location of our service.


The Role


As a Support Practitioner, no two days are ever the same; you'll be part of a small, friendly team who supports a young gentleman to live in his shared home.

Your main aim will be supporting this young gentleman with his day to day needs, including shopping, finances, cooking, appointments, personal care and household tasks.

With this young man enjoying being active, we're also looking for someone who will be creative and supportive with his hobbies and interests too, these include bowling, exploring the outdoors, swimming, going out for drives and cooking.


About You


You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need.

We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 5/6) qualification too


All we'll need you to bring is: -

  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence to go in the water, as swimming is a regular activity
  • The ability to cook
  • Confidence in the use of computers

Shift Patterns


Shift patterns are to be mutually agreed with our team, but we're looking for support hours to fall within the hours of hours.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
