As _the_ voice of automotive risk intelligence, Thatcham Research operates at the cutting edge of research across the Automated, Connected and Electric spectrum.

This means our communications have significant impact across a truly diverse and dynamic range of topics and media - and we are looking for a bright PR Executive to join our growing communications team.


As the PR Executive your responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting the creation and execution of the strategic communications plan by working closely with the PR Manager and Subject Matter Experts across the business to develop impactful news stories and comms campaigns that drive consideration for our new brand identity and meet commercial objectives
  • Managing and developing relationships with media and other key stakeholders to deliver the communications plan
  • Planning and developing effective communications material from press releases to social media activity, research publications, internal communications, and the Thatcham Research website
  • Supporting the development and ongoing review of key messaging, ensuring its integration into all communications activity
  • Monthly reporting and media evaluation to measure impact and influence across key stakeholder groups

As the PR Executive your skills and experience will include:

  • Experience in on-the-job PR experience
  • Experience working with corporate / B2B media, with a strong understanding of how different media platforms work and how to adapt content to influence different audiences
  • A good knowledge of current affairs and issues, experience of the automotive and insurance industries would be a distinct advantage although is not essential
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to take complex themes and communicate them effectively across various platforms
  • Knowledge and experience in developing social conversation calendars and accompanying digital assets, experience in content management platforms a bonus

What we're looking for in you:
You are a confident communicator with a natural ability to build relationships and engage with others.

You're passionate about new media and will bring social media savvy to a fast-paced communications environment; whilst your excellent project and time management skills enable you to effectively plan and manage objectives.


Salary:
Circa £38,200 negotiable dependent on skills & experience. In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package which includes a 10% non-contributory pension, sick pay, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, TechScheme Vouchers, HealthShield plus more


Working Hours:8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 8:30 - 15:45 Fridays


Location:
Thatcham, Berkshire. Our blended working approach means you'll spend time working from our head office in Thatcham and from home.
