Our client a very forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their expanding team._


Their offices are based South of Cambridge and the role can be performed either in office, entirely remotely or a blend of both, it's up to you.


Responsibilities

  • Undertaking bookkeeping duties for their own portfolio of clients (various industries and sizes).
  • Managing deadlines related to your client's work
  • Reconcile control accounts (bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, PAYE, wages, VAT etc.)
  • Timely completion of VAT returns
  • Prepare reports, letters, and other documents
  • Prepare management accounts and accompanying information.
  • Where necessary train and support clients.
  • Establish a rapport with clients, directors, managers, and staff

Requirements:

  • Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Adaptable, keen, and flexible approach
  • Punctual and attentive to support a busy team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise a very busy workload and work effectively under pressure
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Diplomatic, discreet, polite and patient
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with senior team members, clients and suppliers
  • Technical skills: _
  • At least 1 years' experience of working in practice as a bookkeeper, relevant industry experience would also be considered
  • Good IT skills (including MS Word and Excel)
  • Experience of using QuickBooks & Xero

Package

  • Open on salary, depending on experience
  • Full time or part time
  • Fully remote working is available or mix between both
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays
