Applications are sought for an exciting opportunity as Dean of the Business School.


The University of Aberdeen Business School is internationally recognised for our excellence in world-leading research and disrupting conventional business models in undergraduate and postgraduate education.

The School has grown substantially in the last five years, and now has 95 core academic faculty and around 2,500 student FTEs.

The University is committed to supporting further growth and continually increasing the School's scale, profile and reputation, while building on its already strong and improving league table positions.

The School's disciplines are consistently ranked highly in national league tables, for example Accountancy is ranked 2nd in the UK in the latest Guardian University Guide, with Business ranked 11th and Economics 16th.

In the recently published National Student Survey Business Studies was ranked 1st in the UK.

Salary will be at the appropriate point for academic appointment negotiated according to qualifications and experience. A responsibility payment for headship applies over and above the academic salary.
