We currently have an opportunity for an Administrator/Chapel Attendant to join our Business Leader, Andrew Pughe-Jones,
and his dedicated team of crematoria professionals at our Grantham Crematorium, serving our communities across the Lincolnshire area.


What will you be doing?

Working hours:
Mon - Fri (09:00 - 17:00) with the very occasional Saturday to be worked as and when needed


As an Administrator/Chapel Attendant, you will play an integral part in supporting our families and will offer someone the chance to work in a fulfilling role, supporting the important delivery of the highest levels of client services as set out in 'Service our Local Communities' and will also include the below.


  • Ensure the safe custody of ashes in the care of the crematorium Suggest refinements and improvements in client service to the Manager.
  • Liaise with Funeral Directors and Ministers, ensuring any specific requests from the family are inputted in the database regarding services that are carried out.
  • Preparation of banking, client invoices and supporting credit control with branches
  • Maintaining accurate, indexed records of funeral arrangements.
  • Input & maintain records on computers to comply with industry regulations.
  • General adhoc administration to ensure compliance for cremation and burial.
  • Chapel duties to include: Preparation of the chapel prior to each service including cleaning, polishing and sanitisation and preparing music/webcasting links for friends and family who cannot attend in person.

What Do I Need?

  • Previous experience in a Customer Service or Administrative position.
  • Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a range of people.
  • Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.

What Will I Be Doing as An Chapel Attendant / Administrator?


As a Chapel Attendant / Administrator, you will be carrying out a wide range of administrative support to our busy funeral operations, clients, and suppliers.

You are going to be the coordinator that supports our families, arranges the funerals and works alongside our teams to ensure that the funerals are delivered at the highest standard.


Other duties will include:
