Since 2015, Founders Factory's 300 portfolio companies - 80 built in the Studio - have raised $720mm follow-on funding from notable investors, including NfX, Coatue, Forerunner, Tencent, Mubadala and firstminute Capital.

Founders Factory's latest concept in the Mission Studio (backed by Nesta) is Ogma.


The Opportunity:

Ogma is harnessing the power of AI to revolutionise speech and language therapy for families. We are a Founders Factory x Nesta Mission Studio venture.

20% of children have speech and language needs.

These children start school behind their peers and, by adulthood, are twice as likely to experience mental health difficulties and twice as likely to be unemployed.

However, the NHS is backlogged, and most families can't afford the £1k+ price tag of private therapy. Children are not getting the support they need.


Our vision is that all children can afford to have a Speech and Language therapist sitting with them, in their home, providing exactly the right kind of support they need.


We see an opportunity to use advances in AI, LLM and Conversational AI to disrupt the status quo of speech therapy by driving efficiency and efficacy, reducing cost and increasing access.

We will deliver a high value, high impact service for less whilst (i) generating a rare dataset (that currently does not exist) and (ii) developing an AI engine that provides a unique competitive advantage to be the market leader in AI-assisted speech therapy for children.


Within just 3 months we built our first product (the Ogma Assistant), with an NHS launch in the pipeline for April 2024.

We're now focusing on scaling that product, building out our proprietary dataset, and building a game-changing AI engine which will revolutionise Speech and Language therapy through our D2C proposition, Ogma Therapy.

\uD83D\uDCAA What we are looking for:
An exceptional self-starter who wants to get first-hand experience of building a VC-backed impact venture from 0 to 1.

You will need to be confident working independently and getting your hands dirty working across the business. You're someone who always exceeds expectations, learns fast, and is very comfortable rolling up your sleeves and digging in. No task is too small.


\uD83D\uDD28 Your core activities will include:


  • Account management / customer success across Ogma's key products:
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Ogma Assistant
  • Onboarding new users
  • Answering queries and providing training to users
  • Providing a tight feedback loop between users and the product team
  • Conducting user research to collect usage patterns and drive product direction
  • Reporting on product targets
  • Daytoday management of our Ogma Therapy service;
  • Scheduling appointments and invoicing
  • Liasing with parents and therapists to ensure smooth running of the service
  • Admin support for the Lead Speech and Language Therapist
  • Providing a high level of customer care
  • Conducting user research and testing
  • Reporting on service targets
- **Supporting the Product Lead to innovate Ogma Therapy**:
  • Collaborating with therapists and the Product lead to develop at
  • home practice plans for individual children
  • Making use of Canva, Figma, generative AI etc to create fun, engaging and interactive resources for online therapy delivery
  • Running product experiments and reporting on outcomes
  • Running discovery workshops with children to inform product development
- **Coordinating user insight across the organisation**:
  • You will take a leading role in developing and implementing a system to gather user feedback and insight on a weekly basis from across the business, and creating digestible reports and dashboards so that everyone at Ogma feels close to users
  • Build a community of Ogma families and therapists to build in rapid feedback loops for assumption testing

Essential criteria:


  • Experience working in a startup environment or on startuppy side projects
  • A clear passion for working with children and families, and/or in the healthcare space
  • Customer obsessed
  • Strong design skills and confident using Figma and Canva
  • Experience with product development highly desirable

  • Team player with low ego, a willingness to learn and very comfortable with feedback
  • Not afraid to get stuck into any task, with no task seeming too small
  • Can work in a fast and scrappy manner, but retains a high attention to detail
