The purpose of this role is to deliver monitoring, planning and implementation of agreed work programmes and to manage unplanned reactive land management work.
You will be working alongside the technical support Officers, Officers and Team Leader within place to contribute to the sustainable management of Natural Resources Wales land.
You will be responsible for the development of and delivery of programmes, within at least one of the following disciplines, (dependant on the scale of geographic programme).
- Land management, including all aspects of legal statutory compliance, within a defined location for sustainable land management.
- Conservation of designated site and species, including advice and support for wider teams as required.
- Community engagement at a local level.
Knowledge and experience of the following:
Experience of working across a wide range of land management disciplines.
Extensive knowledge and experience of conservation management, designated sites, and all aspects of forest practise, including land liabilities.
Knowledge of sustainable forest management, UKWAS and forest certification schemes.
Coaching and mentoring skills.
Experience of community liaison and public engagement activities.
Ability to communicate effectively with regulated business and the public, explaining complex issues and gaining support by influencing.
