The Senior HR Advisor will provide employment law and HR advice and support to the firm's clients.

My client based in Oxford City Centre helps businesses, charities and individuals - Their main aim: to care for our clients and help them to prosper.


Today, their team of over 80 staff are all based in one large, modern office in the centre of the historic city of Oxford.


They offer a wide range of services including accounting, audit, bookkeeping, HR advice, payroll management, personal and business tax planning, corporate finance and company secretarial services.


They are proud to serve a wide range of clients, including over 1,000 businesses, University of Oxford Colleges, and over 200 charities across the UK.


Description

Senior HR Advisor Key Responsibilities - Management and Business Development:

  • To oversee marketing, networking, sales and client admin processes
  • To develop and improve processes and services which enhance our HR offering to clients
  • To oversee compliance for HR services including GDPR
  • To manage and develop other Advisors (holidays, timesheets, PDRs, training, work schedules)
  • To report to Managing Partner at regular Operation Meetings on work flow, cases, operations and performance
  • To undertake any other tasks which may be required to ensure the efficient operation of the service
  • Complete and update the BD and Marketing Trackers so the information is correct and current
  • Inform the BD and Marketing Coordinator of any networking events to be shared across the firm
  • Attends firmwide BD and Marketing presentation and briefings
  • Hold a Linkedin account, actively post on Linkedin and engage with Critchleys Linkedin posts
  • Be aware and share the details of potential new clients with team members
  • Review the firms Networking calendar on a regular basis and attend appropriate events

Senior HR Advisor Key Responsibilities - Technical:

  • To record all advice given on the database to provide an audit trail for insurance purposes
  • To liaise and seek expert legal advice from our insurers where an employment claim is possible
  • To draft letters for clients regarding employment issues (eg disciplinary, redundancy, long term sickness etc)
  • To attend meetings at the client's premises to support in the handling of HR issues (such as investigations, disciplinaries, appeals).
  • To produce contracts of employment, policies and staff handbooks using template documents
  • To research, resource and develop best practice documents for clients on any aspect of HR practice
  • To develop trusted relationships with clients through the provision of excellent service and regular contact
  • To keep abreast of new legislation and update clients and their documents to reflect any changes which affect them

Profile

The successful Senior HR Advisor will have:

  • At least one years experience in HR
  • However to be successful you will need exposure in providing HR services to several external clients (not just internal HR).
  • Level 5 CIPD.
  • A can do attitude.
  • Great verbal and written communication.
