We're recruiting for a Pets and Housing Team Assistant to join our growing Outreach team.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops.

Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

Outreach Projects runs several projects supporting pet owners experiencing homelessness or in housing crisis across the UK.

This includes the Freedom Project, a specialist dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse, and our Pets and Housing projects.

Our Pets and Housing projects consist of our Hope Project vet scheme, Welcoming Dogs endorsement scheme, Lets with Pets scheme, Pet-Friendly Housing scheme and pet foodbank pilots.

The Pets and Housing Team Assistant is responsible for processing all invoices relating to our Pets and Housing projects and services, completing our veterinary billing, as well as producing monthly stats and reports related to the service delivery.

They provide additional team capacity to support dog owners experiencing homelessness as required and also provide vital administrative support to the Pets and Housing team, which is currently made up of 8 members of staff.

This role works closely with Dogs Trust's Finance department as well as veterinary practices and homelessness services registered on our Hope Project.

They will also work closely with the Hope Project Team Leader to produce reports as part of our wider monitoring and evaluation work.
