Potter + Moore Innovations Ltd is the key trading company based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and focuses on the design, manufacture and distribution of product in its three key operating functions; Brands (owned), Private Label Supply and Contract Manufacturing.
The company's customer base ranges from key multiple drugstore, grocery and fashion retailers to premium brands and are supplied throughout the UK and growing international markets.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the branded division and drive brand performance in key market channels both in the UK and in overseas markets.
Plan, develop and direct Brand direction including all Marketing efforts and Product Developmentto increase the value and performance of Creightons' brands.
Key focus on developing profit and loss performance, image and market positioning including working side by side with the sales teams to ensure brand growth.
Role Objective
- Continually plan, develop and improve brand strategy.
- Lead commercial development of the brand.
- Development and execution of marketing communications and activities for the brand(s).
- Ensuring 'tone of voice' in all marketing / social media activities is representative of the brand
- Maintain a pipeline of ideas for brand development to improve in market competitiveness.
- Ensure product development complies with legal & regulatory standards as directed by the company.
- Constant scanning of external environment to identify issues and opportunities.
- Understand consumer needs within sector and how the brand is performing vs. other brands.
- Understand target audience to target certain consumers to achieve profitable growth.
Role Responsibilities

- Sales and Commercial Management
- Trend and Innovation Monitoring
- Work closely with the Creative and R+D teams on product concept generation
- Work in conjunction with UK and Export sales teams on brand opportunities
- Product Costings
- New Product Development involvement (working with product management / NPD team)
- Risk analysis assessment
- Critical path management
- Packaging and Artwork Management
- Copy writing/artwork/repro coordination
- Supplier briefing including components, fragrances & artwork houses
- Product Lifecycle Management
- EPOS analysis
- Forecasting at launch
- Merchandising plans
- Sample / mockup generation for PR, Pre-Production Samples & Customer presentations
- Competitor Shopping Analysis and Reporting
- Management of events, PR agencies and advertising opportunities (where applicable)
- Excellent communication skills: written and oral

Qualifications
- Able to demonstrate a high level of intellectual ability, likely through good academics (2:1 or equivalent), although other experience or test results may also demonstrate this.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy
- Highly proficient in MS Office systems including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Full Driving Licence
Technical/Professional Experience
Minimum of 3 years brand experience.
Must be able to demonstrate experience across all elements of branding - strategic planning, performance monitoring, NPD and the ability to work in a commercial environment influencing management in other functions (salesand product development).
Industry experience of working with FMCG brands - health + beauty industry preferred with brands in more premium price positioning and channels including digital online platform retailers.
You may have experience of the following: Product Supervisor, Assistant Product Manager, Product Management, NPD, New Product Development, New Product Manager, Assistant Product Operations Manager, Buyer, Junior Buyer, Assistant Project Manager, Retail,FMCG, etc.
