Main duties and Responsibilities General The postholder will provide professional support to the International Nurse recruitment multidisciplinary and leadership team


This will include:

Working in collaboration with key stakeholders to scope, develop and introduce support networks which will enhance the integration of international nurses within the Trust and the local community.

Being responsible for the organisation and delivery of key projects which will ensure sustainable processes are in place for this group of nurses which will improve their experience throughout being recruited, on arrival in the UK and throughout their employment with the Trust.

Aligning the processes and support to the NHS Pastoral Care Quality Standards.

Organise face to face and virtual events when required. Orientate internationally recruited nurses to their Line Manager, wards, the hospital and community.

Signpost to local amenities and services Advise on George Eliot Hospital NHS Trusts facilities and benefits Support internationally recruited Nurses with networking locally and regionally.

Support the local on-boarding programme for the recruitment of international nurses which will include designing and distributing welcome packs.

To support, resolve or escalate any concerns raised by international Nurses. To attend all relevant meetings and deputise for colleagues as required.

Planning and organising To identify, plan and deliver agreed outcomes in relation to the onboarding of a new colleague, supporting their overall employee experience.

To produce and present detailed reports on the progress of projects as required.


To resolve concerns / issues when raised at any stage of the onboarding process or whilst in the Induction period, seeking guidance from experienced / senior members of the team as appropriate.

Contribute to regular key meetings as required, providing international recruitment/campaign updates and address any issues. Implement and maintain efficient administration support to optimise standards of service.

This will require preparation of correspondence and reports for approval; effective time management, ensuring appropriate and timely communication with all relevant personnel; arranging meetings/events and proactively ensuring action points are raised and completed.
