Willisia Recruitment are currently representing a successful Bridging and Development Lender who have retained our services in order to appoint a highly skilled Field based Business Development Manager to their growing team.


Our client is a forward-thinking, and fast growing specialist Bridging Finance and Buy to Let lender, founded and run by people who recognise property, their mission to make borrowing straight forward.


Our appointment comes with the business being keen to identify an individual who has a previous track record of success in a field based BDM role, whether for a lender or a broker.

This will be someone who is keen to engage with the lenders growth plans,a self starter with the 'get up and go' to onboard new introducers and make a real impact.

You will report into the Sales Director and will be ably assisted from within the department too.

The structure means you will have support from an experienced and hard working team of Telphone BDMs, Case Managers and Administrators.


With salaries being offered up to c£80k and an exceptional bonus scheme, which will be relevant to experience and performance at interview, as you would expect.


The Role
The role is field based with 1 day per week in the North London office.

Your day to day will consist of the following:


  • The identification and funding of lending opportunities in line with our criteria, appetite and product suite
  • Take the lead on a national patch as part of our sales plan, to increase awareness of the brand and deliver lending growth
  • Meet lending targets, supported by our inhouse team of Case and Credit Managers
  • Develop and nurture client and broker relationships and contribute to our lending book and bottom
- line growth

  • Work on your own initiative, planning your time to maximise business opportunities by building new and leveraging on existing relationships with clients, intermediaries and other industry movers & shakers
  • Prepare and issue initial loanrelated documentation such as HOTs, DIPs etc. when required, having initially assessed the enquiry
  • Attend and support with industry conferences/seminars
  • Conduct presentations and promote our products to brokers
  • Providing product feedback and identifying needs of brokers

Ideal Person Attributes

  • Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the entire cradle to grave lending cycle
  • Previous experience of transacting bridging and BTL enquiries, ideally at a specialist lender or challenger bank
  • Dependable network of brokers and business introducers
  • Be able to prioritise workload to best manage productivity and pipeline
  • Be able to analyse, interpret and present financial information
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office Suite and other programmes required to do the job efficiently
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relationshipdriven and resultsfocused
  • Determined, hardworking, and flexible work ethic
  • Not afraid to think laterally and challenge where appropriate
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to succeed
