Area Sales Manager - Steel Building Solutions

Pembrook Resourcing are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager.

Location:
Homebased - Midlands and

Southwest Region Department:
Commercial Reporting to: Southern Commercial Manager


Key Objectives.

  • Develop relationships with all major potential SFS users (subcontractor, main contractors, developers and architectural practices) in the region.
  • Generate Sales turnover in SFS in line with target/budget set for geographical region.
  • Maintain and provide a high level of service to existing Key Accounts and identified Target Accounts in your region.
  • Ensure continued development, maintenance and management of the client base and products sold.
  • Have a good awareness of and maintain/professionally manage commercial responsibilities alongside design responsibilities in tandem with each discipline.
  • Ensure that the goals and objectives of the company are exceeded.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be 'hands on' with the project opportunity CRM database, establishing key data criteria and set search data, that matches SFS product and project types.
  • Provide weekly sales call reports to Southern Commercial Manager on activities, opportunities, andprogress reports on development of opportunities, new accounts and project updates.
  • Maintain PDD in conjunction with Internal Sales Administrator, enabling accurate forecasting for business in terms of dates, volume, and value.
  • Maintain design fee andVO payment accrual.
  • Present progress and area plan at monthly Sales Meetings.
  • Technical liaison with Architects, Engineers, specifies, contractor and approved installers on all design, technical and commercial issues.
  • Arrange and present SFS CPD's toArchitects and Main Contractors
  • Take a proactive approach to your personal work commitments by achieving deadlines agreed with your Line Manager. Manage your workload in an effective and diligent manner, reporting all conflicts in deadlines and activitiesto your Line Manager in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain the satisfaction of existing clients and development of new skills and services in accordance with the company business needs. Develop customer relations and develop strategic partnership.
  • Attend meetingswith others without support and to speak about technical issues and promote the company. To be smart in appearance and conduct all affairs both inside and outside your normal place of work in a professional and efficient manner that promotes the Company andenhances its reputation.
  • Liaise between Commercial and Design offering advice and guidance in a technical capacity. Analyse and plan practical improvements to both process and product to maintain customer satisfaction from a design and support perspective.
Manage own customer complaints to conclusion with necessary departments (design, finance, contracts, logistics and manufacturing).

- Carry out any other duties that may be required to provide technical support for the KSBS - product portfolio - Work closelywith the KBS Sales Manager, to identify opportunities throughout the region.

- Liaise with all other KIP business Units to identify opportunities for the Group elsewhere. - Maintain expenses within company policy.


Experience and Skills:


  • It is desirable that the person has a recognised constructionbased accreditation.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, and strong drive for results. Display strength of character and determination not to be distracted from achieving team goals.
  • Be aware of the requirement to work as part of a team. Adopt a flexible approach to workload whilst demonstrating a willingness to take on additional work.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of the KSBS product portfolio and should be able to demonstrate this to everyone from shop floor to senior management.
  • Clearly and concisely express key issues at a level that suits the listener and confidently handle challenges or unexpected issue
  • Must hold a full, clean driving licence.
